HOW DOES IT WORK
It uses the ionization of the gases in the air to form plasma, which creates a small electrical arc that treats problem areas without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding skin, called “soft surgery”. Our expert surgeons will create a small grid to achieve a retraction of the skin in the eyelid area by creating combustion of the skin corneocytes, without damaging surrounding tissue. After the treatment fine grey-brown scales, so-called “carbon dust” will appear, which disappear a few days after the treatment session.
This technique is also defined as “non-ablative” as it is performed without incision, without cutting out excess skin and without removing fat.
It is carried out under topical cream anesthesia (no needles) and can be used for numerous aesthetic concerns, treating loose facial skin, scarring through to perform non-surgical blepharoplasty and brow lifts.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The treatment area will be cleaned and then a specially prepared local anesthetic cream will be applied to the area for 30 mins.
Following treatment, the eyelids will swell temporarily, which will settle in 48-72 hours. The patient should feel no discomfort and can carry on with their normal activities. There is a carbon crust that forms on the treated area and takes from 3 to 7 days to disappear. You can cover the carbon crust with the liquid foundation prescribed by the physician. It is important not to scratch, pick or rub the area treated as a pinkish skin discolouration or hypo/hyper-pigmentation could persist.

The patient will return for a post-treatment check up once the carbon dust drops off.
